Lung 9 - Taiyuan

✨ Lung 9 · Taiyuan ✨
The Great Abyss

There are places in the body
that feel like thresholds.

Lung 9 is one of them.

Nestled at the wrist, where the pulse rises beneath the fingertips, this small and quiet point carries the energy of the Lung channel—inviting breath, inspiration, rhythm, and renewal.

In Chinese medicine, the Lung is more than the organ of respiration. It reflects our relationship with the world.

Every inhale is a receiving.
Every exhale, a letting go.

Lung 9 is traditionally used to support the Lungs and nourish Qi and Yin, while helping restore a sense of openness and ease when the body feels depleted, dry, tight, or out of rhythm.

I love the poetry of this point:

Come back to your breath.
Come back to your rhythm.
Receive what nourishes you.
Release what you no longer need to carry.
You have the strength to stand at the edge of the dark abyss and face the unknown with courage.

Sometimes healing begins with something as simple as remembering how to breathe.

✨ At Blue Heron Acupuncture, we create space for that return — to your body, your breath, and yourself.
