A Sunday Somatic Meditation

A small return to yourself.

Before you move on to the next thing, pause.

Let your feet meet the ground.

Soften your jaw.
Let your shoulders fall away from your ears.
Unclench your hands.

Take a slow breath in through your nose.
And let your exhale be a little longer.

Now, instead of changing anything, simply notice.

Where does your body feel open?
Where does it feel guarded, tight, or tired?

Bring your attention gently to the place asking for the most care.

You don’t have to fix it.
You don’t have to understand it.

Just stay.

Imagine your breath creating a little more room around that sensation.

With each exhale, let your body know:

You are safe to soften.
You are allowed to slow down.
You do not have to carry everything right now.

Notice the support beneath you.
The steadiness of the ground.
The quiet rhythm of your breath.

And for one more moment, let yourself simply be here.

Your body has been listening to you all along.
Sometimes healing begins when we finally listen back.

Come home to your body.
Come back to yourself.
