Luxury Acupuncture & Massage Treatments

These longer, 2 to 2 1/2 hour treatments are designed to be the ultimate pampering experience while also enhancing your health and sense of wellbeing.  Immerse yourself in relaxation and reflection with acupuncture, massage and aromatherapy.  At your request, we may additionally prescribe herbs, nutritional counseling and lifestyle advice as part of your treatment.

Massage - 1 hour; 90 Minutes; 30 minutes

Indulge in a treatment that is nourishing for your body and soul!  Ashlee Dixon has been practicing massage for over twelve years.  Having studied massage in Boulder, Asheville and Thailand, Ashlee enjoys providing Deep Tissue, Integrative, Chinese and Prenatal massage.  Her massages are meditative, balancing, intuitive and nurturing with a rhythmic flow to create a full body connection.  All three of Blue Heron's acupuncturists offer Chinese massage, which involves tui na (massage), cupping and/or gua sha to soothe your muscles and open up the channels of your body.  Schedule a massage on its own or add one to your acupuncture treatment!  Learn more about massage at Blue Heron.

Thai Massage - 90 minutes; 1 hour

Thai massage, provided by Ashlee Dixon, is an ancient healing art with origins in Ayurvedic Medicine and Yoga. It has evolved into a unique and magical combination of gentle rocking, deep stretching, rhythmic compression, soft tissue manipulation, energy balancing and acupressure.  Thai massage affects the entire body by increasing flexibility, releasing both deep and superficial tension, enhancing the body's natural energy flow, and promoting inner peace and a quiet mind. It is performed on a mat on the floor.  The massage is done fully clothed and no oils are required.  Thai massage can provide a good opportunity of achieving a state of deep emotional equanimity, profound stress relief, and moments of sweet bliss.  NOTE: Please come dressed in loose-fitting, comfortable clothing that can stretch easily, like yoga or workout wear.

Graceful Aging Facial Acupuncture

Rejuvenate your appearance naturally!  Diminish lines and wrinkles, regenerate skin cells and give your collagen a boost with acupuncture, facial cupping and massage.  We recommend 12 treatments, at least one per week, followed by monthly or quarterly maintenance treatments.  Package of 12 treatments available for a discounted rate of $1,400.

Graceful Aging Facial Cupping (stand alone or add to another treatment)

Let your inner and outer beauty shine!  Enjoy a relaxing cupping session to help you look your best.  Facial cupping increases circulation to the face, resulting in increased collagen, fewer wrinkles, and a healthy glow.  We recommend 12 treatments, at least one per week, followed by monthly maintenance treatments.  Package of 12 treatments available for a discounted rate of $480.

Ear Acupuncture Weekly Package

Life can be challenging, and sometimes you need support on a daily basis.  The ear acupuncture weekly package is offered for those struggling with addiction or an emotional crisis...or just needing a helping hand in the midst of a tumultuous time.  With this package, you can come in once per day for ear acupuncture (4 days of the week).  If a private treatment room is not available, you may receive your treatment in the lobby.  We will not spend a lengthy time talking, but you will receive a thorough ear treatment with time to rest and rejuvenate.  Ear acupuncture is very calming while strengthening your willpower to resist cravings.  Applicable conditions include quitting smoking, drinking or drugs, food addictions or cravings, sexual addiction, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, among others.  Treatment available during the operating hours of your selected acupuncturist's 4-day business week.

Children's Acupuncture Treatments

Yes, children benefit from Chinese medicine, too!  Commonly treated ailments include digestive issues, trouble sleeping, headaches, asthma, eczema, rashes, colds and flus, ear infections, bedwetting, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, teething pains, and moodiness or other emotional disturbances.  In addition to acupuncture (or if your child is afraid of needles), we may use herbs, essential oils, tuning forks, moxa, cupping and/or gua sha to improve your child's health.  Learn more on our blog!

Herbal or essential oil Consultation

Complimenting your acupuncture treatment or used on its own, herbal medicine provides a way to improve your health on a daily basis.  Formulas are selected based on the patterns of disharmony you present.  Herbs not only address specific symptoms but correct imbalances that could otherwise create longstanding issues.  We offer herbs in granule and pill form.  Granules, a powder form you mix in hot water, can be customized specifically for you.  Taking herbs is truly an investment in your health!

Nutrition Consultation

The foods you eat everyday have the most substantial effect on your health.  Dietary recommendations are made based on Chinese Medicine food therapy.  As with herbs and acupuncture, these suggestions are applicable for specific patterns of imbalance within the body.  Additionally, we may give you recommendations for nutritional supplements, according to Western medicine.  When applicable or upon request, nutritional advice may be included in your acupuncture treatment.
