After a career in dental hygiene and 14 years as a massage therapist, Chris decided to study Chinese Medicine in order to more comprehensively be able to support and achieve results for her patients. She obtained her Master's Degree in Oriental Medicine and Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Racine, Wisconsin. In Milwaukee, she practiced massage therapy and acupuncture at Wheaton Franciscan Health Care. Chris has also completed training for cancer care from MD Anderson in Houston, TX, and is NADA Certified.
Chris is passionate about working with patients with cancer as well as veterans and those experiencing PTSD. Her warm, welcoming nature and extensive experience within the Western medicine framework of hospitals and clinics makes her an excellent practitioner for those new to Chinese medicine and wanting to integrate holistic care into their allopathic regimen.
After practicing acupuncture in Wisconsin for several years, Chris and her husband moved to Asheville, North Carolina, for two years. Chris' husband recently changed jobs, which allowed the couple the opportunity to choose where they would like to live: Charleston! Chris is excited to make the Lowcountry home due to its beauty, charm and history.
